On May 15, 2026, the China Electric Power Construction Enterprise Association announced the results of the first batch of 2026 China High-Quality Electric Power Project evaluations. Two projects participated in by our Group Company – the Guoneng Zhejiang Zhoushan Low-Carbon Smart Island Integrated Energy Project and the Shenzhen Guangming Gas Turbine Power Plant Phase I Project (Shenzhen Energy Guangming Power Base) – each won the highest honor in the power construction industry – the China High-Quality Electric Power Project Award – thanks to their outstanding engineering quality, advanced construction technology, and efficient contract performance. These awards add another brilliant accolade to the company's high-quality development.
1. Guoneng Zhejiang Zhoushan Low-Carbon Smart Island Integrated Energy Project
This project is Zhejiang Province's first 600 MW-class secondary reheat clean coal-fired power unit and is also the first coal power benchmark project in China to deeply apply domestic BIM technology throughout the entire process. The project innovatively introduced a digital construction "smart brain," led the formulation of domestic BIM application standards for the thermal power sector, and fully achieved intelligent management and control of the entire lifecycle from engineering design, construction, commissioning, to operation and maintenance. This effectively improved construction efficiency, strengthened quality control precision, optimized management effectiveness, and established a new paradigm for digital construction of coal power projects.
During project construction, our company undertook core construction tasks including Lot I Piling Works, Soft Soil Pre-treatment and Site Backfilling, and the Desulfurization Unit Piling Works. A total of 1,595 bored piles and 1,148 PHC pipe piles were completed, with soft ground treatment covering 52,000 square meters. At the peak of construction, the company scientifically allocated 7 rotary drilling rigs, 2 PHC pipe pile rigs, 4 plastic drainage board inserters, and various auxiliary equipment. With concentrated efforts and overcoming difficulties, all construction tasks were completed to high standards and quality. With professional construction standards and a rigorous contract-fulfillment attitude, the company earned high recognition and unanimous praise from Guoneng Zhejiang Zhoushan Power Generation Co., Ltd. and all related parties.
2. Shenzhen Guangming Gas Turbine Power Plant Phase I Project (Shenzhen Energy Guangming Power Base)
This project is a key energy security project of Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. It is also a major planned project for infrastructure connectivity in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, carrying significant strategic importance. The project constructed three 667 MW H-class gas-steam combined cycle generator sets, with a total installed capacity of 2,000 MW. All sets were commissioned with high quality by December 2024, providing solid and reliable energy support for Shenzhen to build a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics and to promote high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area. It also serves as an important demonstration and leading example for implementing the national "dual carbon" strategy and promoting the optimization and upgrading of the energy structure.
Our company mainly undertook the full-site piling works and assisted with pile testing for this project. A total of 2,105 bored piles with a diameter of 800 mm were completed, and 73,000 cubic meters of earth were excavated. During construction, facing multiple adverse factors such as continuous rainy weather and pandemic prevention measures, the team scientifically planned and proactively took action. At the peak of construction, 6 rotary drilling rigs, 20 dump trucks, and various auxiliary equipment were deployed, efficiently advancing the construction schedule. All construction tasks were successfully completed by September 2022. With excellent engineering quality and efficient service, the company received full recognition from Shenzhen Energy Group Co., Ltd. and all related parties, laying a solid foundation for subsequent deeper cooperation and expansion into the Shenzhen regional energy infrastructure market.
